Showers, storms expected in KZN on Monday

While people across KZN soaked up the sun on Monday morning, the South African Weather Service says another round of showers and storms is expected in the province later in the day.
Most parts of the uMgungundlovu region were hit by severe thunderstorms last night.
Howick experienced strong winds and hail.

"The one thing we need to know is that most of the thunderstorms that will come, they might come with lightning and hail and strong winds,” says forecaster, Wisani Maluleke.
“Actually, in KwaZulu Natal we're expecting thunderstorm activity. The area that might be affected the most is the interior of KwaZulu Natal.”
The KZN Department of Cooperative Governance says disaster teams have been on the ground since a level two weather warning was issued for the KZN Midlands.
