Severe thunderstorms expected in parts of KZN

The South African Weather Service has issued a weather alert for KZN this afternoon.

It says severe thunderstorms can be expected over the western and southern parts of the province.
Areas such as Pietermaritzburg, Ladysmith, Mooi River, Underberg, Newcastle and Ulundi will be affected.

Forecaster, Wiseman Dlamini says the thunderstorms may lead to a possibility of heavy rain which might lead to localised flooding in some parts of KZN this evening."
Dlamini says it could lead to some property damage. Motorists are being warned to drive with extreme caution.
