President Cyril Ramaphosa will provide an update next week on the country's efforts to manage the coronavirus pandemic and mitigate its impact.
At a post-cabinet briefing earlier, Minister in the Presidency, Jackson Mthembu, said the President would first meet with National Coronavirus Command Council.
He says the outcomes of that meeting will first be discussed by Cabinet.
"President Ramaphosa will brief the nation on the developments in South Africa as it relates to our management of the COVID-19.
The mitigation measures we have put in place to save lives and protect livelihoods.
Mthembu says yesterday's Cabinet sitting addressed a number of topics, including the outcomes of the National Taxi Lekgotla, as well as infrastructure and the economic recovery plan.
