Senzo Meyiwa crime scene was 'controlled and protected', court hears
The first witness in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, forensic investigator Thabo Mosia, has told the High Court in Pretoria that police ensured the crime scene was adequately controlled and protected.
“The arrangements with my colleague, Brigadier Ndlovu, were just to control the movement of the people in the house to ensure that they do not tamper with the crime scene.”
Mosia took the witness stand again on Tuesday morning, telling the court that there were five people in the house when police arrived.

This included Meyiwa’s girlfriend at the time, singer Kelly Khumalo.
“In the house, there were three women, two men, and two children. I only managed to identify Kelly Khumalo as she is a well-known person,” Mosia told the court.
Earlier, state prosecutor George Baloyi requested for the court to adjourn at 3pm instead of 4pm.

Baloyi told the court there are concerns that traffic volumes in the afternoon could pose a security risk to the convoy transporting the accused from court to prison.
