Security structures in place ahead of local elections

South Africans will head to their local polling stations in exactly two weeks for the 2016 Local Government Elections.

Minister of Co-operative Governance and Traditional Affairs Des van Rooyen heads the government's Inter-Ministerial Committee on Elections.
His spokesperson Legadima Leso says it's all systems go.
"All structures have been reported and it's all systems go. With regards to IDs, Home Affairs is ready, the security structures are in place and we are all ready on governments side to host another successful election," he said.
