Security guard killed in hijacking near King Shaka airport

security guard has been killed-and another left injured in a suspected hijacking
incident near King Shaka International Airport, north of Durban.

It's understood that the men were on patrol last night when they were attacked.
The Airports Company of South Africa says armed suspects opened fire on the guards before fleeing with their vehicle.

One guard was declared dead at the scene while the other was rushed to hospital.
"Our CEO sends condolences to the family of
the deceased. we would like to inform the public that their safety and
those of our staff members is always a priority. There are no interruptions to
our operations,” says Acsa spokesperson Gopolang Peme.
