Two arrested in Umlazi for possession of stolen car parts

An elderly man who was found in possession of what is believed to be stolen car body shells will appear in court this week.

The 62-year-old was arrested on Tuesday.
He was nabbed by police after he was found in possession of seven vehicle shells which were reported stolen in Berea, Amanzimtoti, Kinkroos, Westville and Chatsworth.
Sixty unidentified stripped vehicles were also found in his possession and will be investigated thoroughly.

KZN police spokesperson Robert Netshiunda- says the man was arrested in Umlazi, south of Durban.
Netshiunda says they proceeded to B section where another man was arrested.
"The 34-year-old suspect was also busted for being in possession of a stripped vehicle which was reported stolen in Bayview in November 2022.”
