Search on for third suspect in Wartburg armed robbery

Police are on the hunt for a third suspect following an armed robbery at a Wartburg business, north east of Pietermaritzburg.

The suspect's two accomplices, aged 25 and 34-years-old, are due in the New Hanover Magistrate's Court today after being caught within minutes of holding up a shop owner on Sunday.
Police say the suspects pointed a firearm at the business owner before fleeing the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash, airtime vouchers and cellphones.

Spokesperson, Thembeka Mbhele says officers arrested one suspect at the premises.
The second suspect was arrested in a nearby sugarcane field.
Officers recovered an air-gun thought to have been used in the robbery, a knife, peppers spray, hammer and an axe.
