The search for two men who got swept away in the Mvoti River on the north coast has been suspended due to the heavy downpours.
Rescue teams have been searching for the 24 and 27-year-old in Kwadukuza since Thursday morning.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Samantha Meyrick says it's believed they were swept down the river while taking part in a cleansing ceremony.
