Police are on the hunt for two people involved in a shootout with officers in Durban's Bellair area yesterday.

Five people had been in a vehicle that officers say looked suspicious.
The occupants sped off when police approached them. That's when the shootout ensued.
SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says three of the suspects were arrested soon afterwards.

"The polo had five occupants inside. It is alleged that at a later stage, the suspects started to shoot towards the members and the members retaliated. As a result, two of the suspects were wounded.
"The third suspect was later arrested after he ran away from the vehicle they were driving. An unlicensed firearm as well as other items - like a vehicle jamming device - were found inside the vehicle," he says.
They face charges of being in possession of unlicensed firearms and attempted murder.
The two injured suspects will appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court as soon as they are discharged from hospital.
