Search ongoing for suspects in Phoenix tow trucker's murder
Police in Durban are after the killers of a tow truck driver, who was shot dead in Phoenix yesterday.
They say the assailants ambushed the victim while he was sitting in his vehicle outside his home.
They fled in a white car, before hijacking a VW Polo.
SAPS spokesperson Thulani Zwane says the motive for the murder hasn't yet been established.
"The suspects fled the scene in their own getaway vehicle which was a Toyota Etios. Later, the vehicle was found abandoned. It is alleged that these suspects hijacked another vehicle in the area. They fled the scene using that vehicle. No arrests have been made and the matter is still under investigation," he said.
