Search for missing Glendale boy (2) enters day three
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The search for a missing toddler on the north coast has entered its third day.
IPSS Medical Rescue's Dylan Meyrick says two-year-old Ibongwe Ntanga was last seen at around seven on Monday morning in Glendale.
"The area where the child was is a farm compound where a number of the staff work on the farm stay. The child was playing with other children when the older children left the youngster behind and went off to go and play somewhere else.
"An adult saw him crying on the ground and took him close to where his house is and left him there and that was the last time anybody saw him."
Meyrick says search and rescue members from various units started looking for the child.

"The area that we were covering is about 1km radius from the house. Being a two-year-old, we decided that he couldn't walk further and that on his own.
"A lot of the terrain is rugged and the search was carried out by members of the SAPS K-9 search and rescue unit, teams from us, some of the local farmers and some of the local people who lived in the compound.
"There was also a privately-owned helicopter that very kindly donated his time and aircraft for about two hours to do an aerial search, we had drones and unfortunately, nothing was found."
Anyone with information is asked to contact Glendale SAPS.
