Search continues for Verulam rape suspect

Police say the 27-year-old woman who was raped and robbed while walking to a friends home in Verulam - north of Durban is receiving counselling.

The woman had been walking along Moss Street when she was approached by a man on Tuesday night. SAPS spokesperson - Nqobile Gwala says they're still searching for the suspect.
"The charges of rape and robbery are being investigated by the Verulam police station. A 27-year-old victim alleged that on 19 February at 7pm, she was walking along Moss Street in Verulam when she was allegedly raped," Gwala said.
Gwala says the woman was also robbed her cellphone.
