Scores of protesters gather outside court in support of detained student activist

Supporters for arrested Fees Must Fall student, Bonginkosi Khanyile, have gathered in their numbers outside the Durban Magistrate's Court.
They're showing solidarity for Khanyile - who is appearing in court for his pre-trial conference today.

The EFF-affiliated student has been behind bars since September.
He faces eight charges - including public violence, participating in an illegal gathering, trespassing, and inciting violence..
DUT student leader Gazuzu Nduli has been leading the demonstrations at Khanyile's court appearances.
"We are here as the Fees Must Fall movement, #FreeBonginkosiKhanyile; also as the EFF - to support one of our own. We are here outside the court protesting to create awareness about his unjust arrest," he said.

Nduli says the movement will continue to support Khanyile - until he is released.
