Khanyile is due back in court today.
Khanyile - who faces a number of charges including incitement to commit public violence, possession of explosives and assaulting police - has been behind bars since his arrest in September. He was denied bail in October.

DUT Fees Must Fall activist, Gazuzu Nduli's encouraging society to join in the protest.
He says students, through lawyers provided by the EFF, have filed papers in the Durban High Court appealing Khanyile's failed bail application.
This matter will be in court next week.
"We are hoping that the High Court will rule in our favour. It's something that affects the whole society. If we keep quiet today - this issue will escalate and more arrests will take place. Suppression and unjust arrest happening currently must not be allowed," he said.
