Police are still searching for the killers of 14-year-old Luyando Mhlongo.
The child was reported missing last Friday. Her body was found a day later with multiple stab wounds.
Mhlongo had been a Grade 8 pupil from Gcwalulwazi High School in eShowe. Police say an autopsy has revealed that the child was also gang raped.
The KZN Education Department visited the school as well as the grieving family yesterday.
