He was speaking at the Parktown Boys High school this morning where 20 pupils have reported being sexually abused by the former water polo coach.

The school came under the spotlight recently when video footage of the coach groping one of the learners emerged.

Lesufi says boys must not be put under pressure to be strong and not report incidents of abuse.

"This person was just a coach employed by the SGB. After the SGB formulated the relevant charges, unfortunately, this individual did not appear before the disciplinary committee. He decided to resign. We are following the matter as the department to ensure you don't resign from one institution to be hired by another institution," he said.
