SAPS seeking assistance in locating suspect linked to Eshowe family murder

Police in KZN are seeking assistance in locating a suspect linked to the murder of three family members in Eshowe, in the northern part of the province.

Sicelo Dambayi Sikhakhane is believed to be the second suspect in the April 2023 killing of three members of the Mkhize family.
His co-accused, Thuthuka Mthethwa, is in police custody, and his trial is expected to resume next month at Mtunzini High Court.

Provincial police spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says Sikhakhane is believed to be hiding in one of the hostels in Durban.
"Six people were shot, three people were declared dead on the scene, and three sustained gunshot wounds and survived. Police strongly believe that Scelo Dambayi Sikhakhane, who is 33 years old, is the second suspect.
