Santaco to meet with PMB taxi associations after another bloody week

Taxi association Santaco has condemned the violent clashes and the killing of
taxi operators in Pietermaritzburg this week.

Fifty-three-year-old taxi operator Mthokozisi Sithole was gunned down at his home at Imbali's Unit BB section on Friday afternoon.
In another incident on Tuesday, 60-year-old Delani Maphumulo, who was part of the Imbali 14, 18 and BB taxi associations, was attacked by two unknown men while in his bakkie.

Santaco spokesperson Sifiso Shangase says they'll be taking steps to ensure they get to the root of the conflict between taxi associations.
