Santaco appeals for calm after murder of taxi boss
Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) in KwaZulu-Natal has called for calm following the murder of a local taxi boss.

A 46-year-old taxi owner was gunned down and two other men left wounded in Verulam.
Police believe the motive for the shooting in the Everest Heights area over the weekend is linked to a taxi-related conflict.
Spokesperson for Santaco in KZN Sifiso Shangase says they are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
"This does not resolve the problem but we always preach that the solution will be obtained when both parties sit down and they apply their minds on the issue at hand.

"And when you do so, you could be able then to come up with an amicable resolution which will save lives as well become progressive in the near future.
'We are pleading that members must calm down and then be able then to resolve issues when they are discussing them over a table rather than killing each other."
