Covid jabs for 18 to 34 year-olds from September
Updated | By Nokukhanya N Mntambo
If you're between 18 and 34 years of age, you'll be able to roll up your sleeves for the Covid-19 jab in just over a month's time.
"We will now allow people between the ages of 18 and 34 to be vaccinated from the 1st of September 2021. This will be in addition to the age groups that are currently eligible, which is everyone over 35 years of age," President Cyril Ramaphosa said on Sunday night.
Ramaphosa says the coronavirus immunisation process has become quite efficient. And you don't have to wait for booking to get your shot.

"We are now able to allow people to present themselves at a vaccination site without an appointment and be registered and vaccinated. This substantial increase in the rate of vaccination is made possible by improvements in the supply of vaccines."
More vaccines are coming.
"Within the next two to three months, we are scheduled to receive around 31 million additional doses from Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson.
"The process of acquiring more vaccines from other manufacturers such as the Chines vaccine and others is underway."
