SAMRO slams gender-based violence in music industry
Updated | By Shaun Ryan
The SA Music Rights Organisation has added its voice to the chorus condemning the abuse of popular singer, Babes Wodumo.
SAMRO says it condemns gender-based violence in society in general - and in the music industry specifically.
The organisation released a statement yesterday afternoon - shortly after Mandla Maphumulo, also known as Mampintsha, was granted R2000 bail in the Pinetown Magistrate's Court.
SAMRO said it's sensitive to the unique and added vulnerabilities faced by women in the music industry.
