SAHRC on BLF: Stop intimidating journalists
Updated | By Puseletso Petersen
The South African Human Rights Commission has called on the Black First Land First organisation to stop intimidating and harassing journalists.
The group, led by Andile Mngxitama, protested outside the home of journalist and editor, Peter Bruce last Thursday.
It was after an article he wrote about the Gupta family was published that morning. It's been reported Black First Land First is being funded by the Guptas.
Two of Bruce's colleagues who arrived to support him also came under attack from BLF.

The commission's Gushwell Brooks says the media should not feel threatened when doing their job.
"The Black First Land First should address their concerns with unfair coverage or commentary that they're not happy with through fair and legal means. Protesting outside the private residence or someone's home, defacing or causing malicious damage to property does not qualify as a lawful means of protest. The SAHRC is looking at this matter very closely and will intervene if the need arises," he says.
Today, arguments will be heard in court in the South African National Editor's Forum urgent interdict against BLF.
