SAA takeover 'at expense of workers' - SACCA
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The South African Cabin Crew Association says the Takatso Consortium's takeover of SAA should not have happened at the expense of workers.

The Competition Tribunal has given a conditional green light to Takatso's acquisition of a 51% stake in the national carrier.

SACCA's Deputy President Chris Shabangu says they'll be monitoring the takeover closely to ensure the conditions attached to the deal are fulfilled.
"Another condition is that there are 1 000 employees that were put on something called 'Training Layoff Scheme'.
"Those employees were to be employed first should the airline grow, as it is growing right now."
