SA Tourism warns tourists to treat holiday destination as hotspots
Updated | By Andrew Robertson
The CEO of SA Tourism, Sisa Ntshona is advising those who'll be travelling for the holidays to treat the areas they visit as hotspots.
"We are allowed to move around the country and essentially just do it with caution. We are also communicating heavily with businesses to say adhere to the rules."
He says taking shortcuts right now will cause a bigger consequence down the line.
"Consumers as well must demand certain protocols from the establishments. If they don't get them they must walk away, and report it to the ombudsman of the tourist sector," he adds.
Ntshona's comments follow last night's declaration by the health minister of the second wave of COVID-19 in the country.
