SA reaches 11 million vaccine milestone

South Africa has crossed the 11 million mark of people who have received at least one Covid-19 vaccination.
In stats released on Tuesday evening, the total number of people vaccinated stood at 11 076 106.
According to the latest data released by the Department of Health on Tuesday evening, the milestone has also been reached of 5 million adults in the country now being fully vaccinated.

A total of 5 141 248 adults have either received one shot of Johnson and Johnson or the double dose Pfizer vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 266 988 vaccines were administered - making it the second-highest number of daily vaccines administered since the 273 454 jabs on 21 July.
Gauteng is the leading province with 70 520 vaccines administered on Tuesday, followed by Western Cape with 50 175.
