SA doesn’t need more political parties – analyst
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Political analyst Protas Madlala says the country doesn't need another political party.
"We need a very strong and united opposition instead of separate opposition parties," says Madlala.
Madlala's been commenting on the launch of Mmusi Maimane's political party, Build One SA, which he launched in Soweto over the weekend.
"We have got people in Parliament who are just a one-man show. I think this is going to be the same. I think he is going to take quite a number of voters from the DA and other parties and we don't need this in the country."

Maimane made bold promises to Bosa's supporters on a number of issues, including unemployment, crime and corruption.
The party's made up of a group of independent candidates hoping to make significant strides in the 2024 national elections.
"I think we are going to see the same thing that we have seen - UDM with Bantu Holomisa, Cope with Mosiuoa Lekota just earning his salary and he is just on his own in parliament and I think we are going to likely have that scenario," says Madlala.
