Road closures ahead of Durban July

Residents and motorists are advised to be aware of the temporary road closures tomorrow, ahead of the Durban July.

Avondale Road will be closed between Gladys Mazibuko and Haden Roads while DLI Avenue will also be closed to traffic at the intersection of Avondale Road.
eThekwini Metro Police say all motorists must ensure that they park legally in the area.
More than 55 000 people are expected to attend the annual glitzy event at the Greyville Race Course.

Tourism Department spokesperson, Bongani Tembe says the event is expected to inject R300-million into the economy of the province.
He says most hotels and B&Bs in the province are fully booked.
Last week, Stats SA released a report that found that the tourist accommodation industry's total income increased by 7.0% in April this year when compared to the same time last year.
The July is one of a few events taking place in the city this weekend which could see a peak in the province's projected cash injection.
