Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Hundreds of protesters have closed off a main road, in Bergville.
They apparently want their ward councillor to go.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says the protest began in the early hours of the morning.
"Our police officers were dispatched and went to the scene and noticed that there were about 600 people that were protesting, burning tyres and blocking roads. They were complaining of service delivery in the area. Our public order policing were also dispatched to the area to monitor the situation."
Zwane says no serious incidents have been reported.
