Reservoir Hills man killed in hijacking
A man has been shot and killed in what is believed to have been a hijacking in Reservoir Hills.
The shooting took place on Kies Avenue yesterday.
Rescue Care's Ceron Meadows says the man was found in cardiac arrest and medics and a trauma doctor worked for close to half-an-hour to try and save him.
"Upon arrival we found the gentleman lying on the floor. He had sustained one gunshot wound to his chest. With prolonged resuscitation efforts - with advanced life support paramedics - we tried to revive the patient but unfortunately he succumbed to his injuries. SAPS and the necessary role players were on scene and will be investigating further," says Meadows.
