Reservoir Hills and Clare Estate hit by blackouts
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
A power outage has left a number of residents in Reservoir Hills and Clare Estate in the dark for more than a day.

Ward 23 councillor Alicia Kissoon says the electricity supply was restored for some at midnight, but the lights in Palmiet in Clare Estate and a portion of Reservoir Hills are still off.
Kissoon says eThekwini informed them that a feeder cable had failed.

"The electricity department did attend to it however, restoration to the upper half of Reservoir Hills - the lower half was still out. The department discovered an cable fault and they have been working with it."
She says the repairs were interrupted by the heavy storm over the weekend.
"The current information available was that the electrons on site were waiting for the test room to find the fault."
