Repo Rate unlikely to increase: economist
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A local economist feels it's unlikely that there will be an increase in the Repo Rate tomorrow.

The SA Reserve Bank’s Monetary Policy Committee has been meeting to decide whether to hike interest rates. An increase of 25 basis points in November saw the interest rate increase to 6.75 percent - with prime lending coming in at 10.25 percent.
Economist Mike Schussler believes the figures are more than likely to remain as they are for now.
"I think with the inflation rate having come down - the Reserve Bank will want to see what else is happening. I don't think they will be changing the interest rate anytime soon. I think they are certainly very cautious," Schussler said.
