Relief for consumers as petrol price set to drop in February

The Fuel Retailers Association says a possible drop in the fuel price for February would come at the right time for many motorists.

The association believes we're in for a drop in the fuel price with the Rand picking up against the US Dollar. The energy department's yet to confirm the new price adjustments.

The AA said earlier that the petrol price could come down by around 32 cents a litre this month.
"For consumers - it will relieve the pressure on their monthly expenses. As a fuel retailer, we expect there'll be more purchases when the prices of fuel goes down," the fuel retailer's CEO, Reggie Sibiya says.
