The Hawks have taken a woman into custody in connection with the murder of an eThekwini metro police officer.
The arrest comes a week after the hitman pleaded guilty and blew the lid on the alleged plot.
Captain Zwelakhe Ntombela was shot dead at his home in Umlazi in May.
Mandlenkosi Ntombela, the man who pulled the trigger and is not related to the victim, was sentenced to 20 years in prison last Monday in the Durban High Court after reaching a plea agreement with the State.

He implicated a female relative of the slain officer, as well as a man who is serving a life sentence in prison.
The court heard the woman had given him one of the two guns he had for the job.
Hawks spokesperson Simphiwe Mhlongo says Durban Serious Organised Crime unit members arrested the 43-year-old woman on Sunday.
"The female is expected to appear in the Umlazi Magistrate’s Court tomorrow facing a charge of murder. We are expecting to arrest another suspect in connection with the same murder."
