Refuse collection resumes in Umlazi
There is some good news for residents of Umlazi.
eThekwini Municipality has confirmed that refuse workers are expected to return to work meaning that refuse collection will resume in the area from this morning.
The municipality says it has been given the assurance that all bags of rubbish will be collected by the end of this weekend.

Rubbish collection services had been disrupted for weeks in Umlazi.
The city told Newswatch it is because new contractors wanted to be paid double.
