Umlazi's refuse collection again disrupted
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Rubbish is piling up for the second time in three months in Umlazi, south of Durban, as its collection has been stopped.

eThekwini Mayor, James Nxumalo has apologised to residents in a statement but without giving any reason for the disruption to the refuse collection service.
eThekwini's spokespeople have been unavailable to give more details on the cause of the service disruption.
Residents are asked to keep their waste within their properties to avoid rubbish being scattered.
In August, refuse collection services were stopped for about a month when the township's waste removal contractors were threatened, apparently by Umkhonto We Sizwe Military Veterans who demanded that they be considered for the job.
