Refuse collection to restart in eThekwini on Thursday

Refuse collection and street sweeping services in eThekwini
will resume on Thursday.
Durban Solid Waste employees have called off their strike.
The workers have reached an agreement on an overtime issue with management, which triggered their illegal work stoppage.
Disgruntled employees parked their DSW trucks on the N2 on Wednesday, causing a major traffic jam near Spaghetti Junction.

eThekwini's Lindiwe Khuzwayo says the city’s waste collection backlogs will be dealt with on the scheduled bin pick up days.
"eThekwini Municipality confirms that the challenge we had with the collection of refuse has been resolved. Residents are requested to take out their refuse bags on scheduled collection days.”
