DSW update: Striking workers moving towards Springfield offices
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Police say Durban Solid Waste workers who blocked some key routes in eThekwini with their trucks are now making their way to DSW's Springfield offices.

"At the moment, they are on foot between the N3 and M19. They are moving towards Electron Road, but also they are using one lane because SAPS and Metro Police are controlling," says eThekwini Metro Police spokesperson Zama Dlamini.
Dlamini says the protests began on Wednesday morning, bringing vehicles to a halt on parts of the N2 northbound near Spaghetti Junction and the N3.

"Around 08:40 the N2 at EB Cloete was blocked by protestors from DSW. They blocked all the lanes. Traffic was backed up, but right now police are there. The road is all clear, the traffic is slowly flowing."
DSW employees, upset about a 50% overtime cut, embarked on an illegal go-slow last week.
It's disrupted waste collection and sweeping services across the city.
