Recovery of tourism sector in KZN moving at snail pace

Those in the tourism business in KZN say the sector is picking up at a snail's pace.
Some of them have shared their concerns with Deputy Tourism Minister, Fish Mahlalela.
He's in the province to see the extent to which the coronavirus pandemic has impacted establishments and other businesses.
Mahlalela and MEC Ravi Pillay have been meeting with the affected in iLembe District today.

He says despite the eased restrictions, it remains tough for some.
"We hope to mobilise and encourage South Africans to travel because the recovery of the sector will still be dependant on them being able to travel.
"So it is a huge blow hence the recovery plan focuses on mainly the domestic and international market is fully operational."
