Reaction officer gunned down in Isipingo

A reaction officer has been shot and killed while seated in
his vehicle at a petrol station in Isipingo, south of Durban.
Medics rushed to the scene along Phila Ndwande Road around 10pm on Tuesday evening.
ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says the man was declared dead on arrival.
“On arrival paramedics found the officer seated in his vehicle, slumped over the steering wheel. The man, believed to be in his 40s, sustained a fatal gunshot wound to his head.

“Unfortunately there was nothing more that paramedics could do for him and he was declared dead at the scene.
“At this stage the events leading up to the shooting are unknown. However, SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further."
