RBM commends SAPS after recovery of stolen minerals
Updated | By Newswatch
Richards Bay Minerals has praised police for their work that led to the recovery of minerals stolen from the northern KZN mining operation.

Investigations led a task team to a warehouse in Johannesburg where R15 million worth of zircon and chloride was discovered last Wednesday.
Police say the minerals were being re-packaged to be sold to international buyers.

The products had been diverted from the Richards Bay harbour, with RBM’s shipments replaced with fake minerals.
The police task team made a similar recovery in Durban last month.
The company says it’s pleased with the efforts of the SAPS and the progress made in their investigations.
