Ramaphosa warns SA could return to tighter lockdown

President Cyril Ramaphosa says if coronavirus infections are on the rise again the country will have to go into a tighter lockdown.
He was speaking at a vaccination facility in Tembisa, east of Johannesburg.
Ramaphosa is visiting various sites in Gauteng on Thursday.

His comments come after the country posted over 17 300 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
It was nearly ten thousand more infections from the previous day.
KwaZulu-Natal has also seen a spike in cases, with nearly 2 000 new confirmed infections in a single day.
