President Cyril Ramaphosa has been in KwaZulu-Natal this weekend, launching the Thuma Mina campaign in the province.
Thuma Mina means 'send me'.
The campaign is geared towards encouraging voluntarism and patriotism.
President Ramaphosa visited a number of local groups and communities over the last few days, including worshippers at the Imam Hussain mosque, in Ottawa near Verulam north of Durban where a devotee was killed during a knife attack in May.

Ramaphosa said the campaign basically asks for everyone to go out and work for the nation and work for the people.
The President says the campaign is aimed at all South Africans.
"Wherever people need help, let us give them support. It does not matter whether you are ANC or not, this is a broad campaign for all of us, for all people of our country," he said.
