Ramaphosa: End to load shedding key priority for ANC in 2023
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
ANC president Cyril
Ramaphosa says that load shedding, along with illegal connections, are
priorities the party will tackle this year.

He outlined the key issues for the organisation during an address to thousands of supporters at the party's 111th birthday celebrations in Mangaung on Sunday.
"We must return Eskom's generation capacity to reliable service as quickly as possible by undertaking critical maintenance and also ensuring that power stations have skilled and experienced personnel,” Ramaphosa said.
He said the delivery of basic services remains a major concern.

"The collapse of many municipalities has had a devastating impact on our citizens. Many communities have to deal on a daily basis with problems, sewage in the streets, rubbish not collected, poor infrastructure, and lack of maintenance.
"The (ANC national) conference, therefore resolves to embark on a more concerted initiative to strengthen government departments, municipalities and our state-owned enterprises to ensure that they deliver on their mandate."
