Tsakani Maluleke has been appointed as the new Auditor-General of South Africa, the Presidency confirmed on Friday.
Maluleke takes over from the late Kimi Makwetu who died recently of lung cancer.
Makwetu’s term was set to come to an end in November.
Last month Maluleke was grilled by an ad hoc committee at the National Assembly where she faced-off against Michael Sass, the CFO of the National Health Laboratory Services, and former SABC board member Rachel Kalidass.
