R3.5m fraud suspect sought by Durban police

KZN detectives are appealing for help from members of the public, as they try to track down a woman in a fraud and theft case involving more than R3 million in Durban.

A warrant of arrest has been issued for Raksha Pooran.
Officers say the charges the 36-year-old is facing relate to the complaints they received from a local businessman.
He's accused Pooran of defrauding him personally and his business of R3.5 million between 2017 and 2019.

Police say he opened a case for investigation at Westville SAPS after the suspect fled.
They've managed to trace her whereabouts, but haven't been able to arrest her.
