Pupil (17) stabbed to death in Verulam school fight

A 17-year-old schoolboy has died after being stabbed at a school in Verulam, north of Durban.

It's understood a group of learners were fighting inside the school in Trenance Park on Thursday.
KwaZulu-Natal police confirmed that incident occurred at Siphesihle Secondary School.

Police say during the altercation, the teenager was stabbed in the chest.
The boy was taken to a local clinic where he was declared dead on arrival.
Verulam SAPS has opened a murder investigation.
