Probe continues into cause of north KZN diarrhoea outbreak

KwaZulu-Natal Health says cholera is not to blame for the diarrhoea outbreak at Abaqulusi Local municipality.
535 cases have been reported in the past two weeks.

Lab tests have ruled out cholera and typhoid as the reason for the outbreak that's affected areas like Vryheid, Dumbe and Lakeside.
MEC Sibongiseni Dhlomo says they'll continue with their investigations.
The department says residents still need to treat their tap water before drinking it.
Abaqulusi remains under administration.
