Probe into cause of death after man's body found in Shallcross

Tests are being conducted on the body of a man found in the south of Durban to determine the cause of death.

A man stumbled upon the body near Ridge Street in Shallcross yesterday morning.
The deceased man is believed to have been in his 30s.
Police spokesperson, Thulani Zwane says an inquest docket has been opened.

He is calling on anyone who might be able to identify the body to come forward.
"Police were called to attend to a decomposed body that was found in the bushes by someone who was looking for scrap metals. A case of inquest was then opened for further investigation. We are still waiting for post-mortem results of whether he was killed or he died naturally," Zwane said.
