Dog shot dead in Yellowwood Park attempted robbery
Updated | By Portia Cele
Police are searching for three suspects involved in an attempted robbery at a home in Yellowwood Park, where a border collie cross was shot dead.

Three men tried to force an entry into the property, in the south of Durban suburb yesterday morning.
The owners were alerted to the break-in when a shot was fired, killing one of their canines.
"We can confirm that a case of malicious damage to property has been opened by Montclair SAPS after three suspects attempted to enter one of the premises at Yellowwood Park," said police spokesperson Thulani Zwane.
"It is further alleged the dogs barked at the suspects. The dog was then shot. The suspects fled the scene using their own getaway vehicle," Zwane continued.
He says officers are investigating the incident.
